Check-In

Students checking in Thursday - Saturday will go through a centralized Move-In process

Items required for check-in:
  • your printed Boarding Pass with barcode
  • your UCard or other government issued photo ID.

Summer Transitions

Approved Summer transition students will check-in to their fall assignments on either Tuesday, August 29th or Wednesday, August 30th

Specific instructions will be emailed to students transitioning from summer to fall.

Early Arrivals

Approved early arrival groups will check in to their fall assignment at their Residential Service Desk (RSD).

When you arrive on campus:
  • Park in the load zone for your residence hall
  • Walk to your RSD to check-in and pick up your room key
  • Unload your belongings
  • Move your vehicle to a designated parking lot for your area

East Check-In
(located in Lot 44 behind the North Apartments)

Residents in the Central, Northeast, North, Orchard Hill, and Sylvan will check-in at East Check-In Thursday, August 31 - Saturday, September 2.

At check-in, you will:
  • present your boarding pass and ID
  • receive your room key
  • be directed from a traffic queue to your hall when space is available
Only one car per student will be allowed access to the hall.

West Check-In
(behind McGuirk Stadium)

Residents in the Southwest Residential Area and Commonwealth Honors College Residential Community will check-in at West Check-In Thursday, August 31 - Saturday, September 2.

At check-in, you will:
  • present your boarding pass and ID
  • receive your room key
  • be directed from a traffic queue to your hall when space is available
Only one car per student will be allowed access to the hall.

Not Driving to Campus?

If you are planning to arrive by bus, Uber or taxi you will have access to a shuttle to bring you through the Check-In Station and to your residence hall. The Check-In Shuttle will run continuously throughout the day from the bus stop at the Randolph W. Bromery Center for the Arts. Don't pay a taxi to wait in line at Check-In! Ask to be dropped off at the Randolph W. Bromery Center for the Arts (Haigis Mall) and use our free shuttle.

In Need of Mobility Assistance?

ADA Shuttle
A shuttle will be available to transport you from the parking lot to the residence hall on Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 8a and 5p. Please be prepared to give your location – Lot # and row as well as helpful identifying descriptions- to the dispatcher who takes your call. You will be asked questions about your specific mobility needs as we do have a lift van as an option but also run a sprinter van. You will be required to provide a cell phone for contact.
